Doctors really think that “You might feel a small pinch”

Everyone has that experience where a doctor tells you something might hurt and you then feel quite a sharp pain. This Article might explain why – they really don’t think people feel that much pain and actually shut down the bits of their brains which allow them to empathise with others pain.
